Instructions for speakers

Designing the talk:

Inclusive:  Please keep the talk accessible to the broad audience as the audience have a diverse background.

Giving the talk:

Zoom registration:  you will receive the Zoom registration link at least one week before the event takes place.

Show up early:  It would be helpful if you could join the Zoom link five minutes before the talk to test if everything is ok.

Q&A:  Usually, questions from the audience will not be asked during the talk. However, the organisers will keep monitoring the chat box, and if there are any clarification questions, one of the organisers will interrupt you and ask them. We will have a more elaborate Q&A session at the end of the talk, where anyone that has a question will have an opportunity to ask them.

Co-authors:  You are welcome (but not required) to have your co-authors monitor the chat box and answer any questions. If you do so, please announce it at the beginning of the talk.

Publicly posting the talk video:

The talk will be recorded and eventually be posted to public. We will ask your consent with a consent form.
